Our Fosterplus Midlands and South Yorkshire Registration is Ofsted Outstanding
Fosterplus Midlands and South Yorkshire has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ following an official inspection from Ofsted, the independent watchdog. The registration provides fostering services in and around Long Eaton, Coventry and Doncaster.
The fostering agency is responsible for respite, emergency and long and short-term fostering placements for over 45 children, with 34 fostering families providing care at the time of inspection.
“The Fosterplus team are dedicated to their work and the result is fantastic recognition of their outstanding service”
It was praised by inspectors for ‘providing highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good and contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people’.
Ofsted commented: “Children and young people receive outstanding care and support from their foster carers. From their starting points, their confidence grows significantly. They feel fully integrated into their foster carers’ families and often remain in close contact with their carers after leaving care.”
The Ofsted visit took place during a week in July, with a previous rating as ‘Good’ in 2015. Since this time, managers have strived to excel and inspire a culture where all staff and carers aspire to be the best.
Carers also report exceptionally high levels of satisfaction at the support they received, with one stating that ‘The agency feels like a big family and is very supportive of me’.
Fosterplus Registered Manager for the Midlands, Jennifer Huggins, said: “We are very proud of our Outstanding inspection result and it is a testament to the dedication of our team at Fosterplus and to the foster carers that work so closely with us.
“We are privileged to work with such motivated and dedicated carers, and the children and young people they care for.”
